Charles Jerry Eady's Obituary
Our Heavenly Father welcomed home his faithful servant, Charles Jerry Eady, 71, of Longview, on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Jerry was born July 9, 1943 in Heard Co., GA. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Mary Alice Eady; his daughters Kelly Alston (Aaron), Cindi Hudson (Rocky); his sisters Joyce Sclease (Jon), and Barbara Morgan; grandchildren Macey and Atley Alston, Colby and Ty Hudson, brother-in-law Tommy Harrell, sister-in-law Margaret Harrell, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Ima Eady, loving in-laws Obie and Vicki Harrell and beloved brother- in-laws Bobby and Billy Harrell.
He was retired from Continental Can Co. after 30 years and Crosby Lebus after 17 years. Jerry was an amazing husband, father and Pawpaw. Everything was done to the best of his ability with a servant’s heart. Always making sure everyone's needs were met before his own. He loved working in his yard and making sure it looked as though it came out of a magazine. Jerry loved and enjoyed his church and church family at Greggton First Baptist. If he was not at home, he could be found at his church. He was always faithful and dependable. He cherished his children and grandchildren with a heart over-flowing, and loved his wife with all of his being. I'm sure our heavenly Father has said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
Visitation and service will be at Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Longview on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Visitation starts at 12pm with the funeral service starting at 2pm. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
