Charles A. Westmoreland's Obituary
Services for Charles A. Westmoreland, 78, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Buddy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Westmoreland went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday in a local hospital. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Charles was born on August 4, 1929 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Selman and Minnie Westmoreland. He was married to the love of his life, Lida "Louise" Wilson on May 26, 1956 and they lived happily together for 51 years. He was retired from Eastman where he worked as a Chemical Engineer, and he was a long time member of Wesley-McCabe Methodist Church. Mr. Westmoreland was a very generous man with a keen sense of humor, and a great love for God, his family and his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Louise; daughters and sons-in-law, Janey and Gary Holeman, and Kathleen and Pat Mays; grandchildren, Sarah, Marisa and Brian; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
