Dear Ms. Louise:
I was so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I have been in New York and simply did not get the information until this week. I will always think of you and Charlie and the way he was so proud to attend my Carl's baby shower prior to Carl's birth in 1981 while I pumped those Fairfield wells. May God bless you Louise, as he always has. Dad is in Buckner here in Longview and many bad things have occurred within our family. I know though, that God is with us all and that he is stronger than all of this. Love you always,

Kathleen and family,
I'm so sad that Mr. Charley is no longer "gracing" us with his presence...to use a very old phrase from our past. He had the BEST smile, the wittiest sense of humor, and as I reflect back, a real wisdom and air of contentment about him. His family gave him such joy! I have great memories of playing in the pine straw in Maxey Acres and the TREAT of getting to go to the Eastman playground. There were so many youth functions where we made S'mores and played tether ball in your backyard. Kathleen, I remember the HOURS we spent talking and listening to music in your room.....what a happy childhood! And your parents were always there! May the Lord comfort you with these happy memories and many more. He was a witness to so many folks for a very long time. Louise, you and Charlie have been good friends for a long time and you know how much I think of your entire family. Charley was especially a happy, witty person, and very caring. He made the best
chocolate fudge in the world Russell Stover could not compete
We enjoyed many good trips together,many church and Sunday School Class studies and activities
and I will never forget the quarters
he passed out to me on Sunday morning if I did not have a particular collector. Janey and
Kathleen and their families are dear to me and I pray that God will
just hold you close in his arms and
make you have a "peace that passes

What a special man!! I have wonderful, warm memories of our times together! There were times in Longview, Eureka Springs, Houston, Fulshear and in Katy. My love to you, Louise, Janey and Gary, and Kathleen and Pat and families. He shall certainly be greatly missed!
