Please forgive my delay in offering my condolences.....through the tears it is clear to me that people who represent love, and joy and laughter have a glow around them and when they go the glow remains all over those who were lucky enough to be basked in theirs-its never long enough but how wonderful for as long as it was-I had so hoped to have Charlie up here this summer, but in a way he is and will be along with so many others who won't actually sit by the shore with me but will everytime I do. It has been years since I have been with any of you but in a way you are always with me wherever I am. I cant find words to underscore how really much that means to me. Patty, Linda, and Butch,

I was so sorry to read of Charles death and that Jacquie had died last summer. The last time I saw them was at the library where I know they spent many hours together. We had a nice long chat - pleasant as always with them. I remember them as kind, up-beat people and great next door neighbors. I?m sorry they?re gone and sorry I didn?t see them more often. My condolences to the three of you and your families.

I was truely sorry to hear about your father's death. Although I haven't seen any of you for many years, I do still think of you often. Butch - I remember the summer I was 13 and we were all visiting at Grammie Helen's. We put on a "talent" show for the grownups, and you had to pretend to faint, which you did very well.:- Although we are all scattered around - we are still family and I wish I could have seen more of all of you.

My mother called and gave me the bad news about Jackie and Charlie. I had just been thinking of them a couple of days ago, wondering how they were. I regret not having made more of a contact with them when I lived in Hutchinson three years ago for 1/1/2 yrs.But I did see them briefly before we moved. Seeing them then and remembering them, as I often do, reminds me of the times when I used to go and visit Patty where the much more "hip" girl introduced me to a guy named Elton John. I always felt so welcome and comfortable at your house by both of your parents. In fact, your father would often joke with me, and as a young girl, I felt very special that someone wanted to make me laugh and that he laughed at my jokes. He was very funny. I remember Jackie getting Charlies' martini ready when he got home from the paper company. I can still hear the way she would call for him CHARLIE! and Patty PATRICIA! I am so sorry about their loss. Memories of Charlie and Jackie with stay with me forever.

I was so sorry to hear about Jackie and Charlie. They were like second parents to me while growing up as Patty's best friend. I remember how often we drove them crazy through our teenage years.
