Carolyn and her parents lived across the street from my family in Oak Cliff when we were children. We played dolls, especially paper dolls, spending hours in the summer on the front porches with scissors and all kind of adventures for our cardboard girls. Never ending wardrobes for the girls sparked all kinds of imaginative adventures. But, when the boys in the neighborhood wanted to play football on the vacant lot next to Carolyn's house, I would join them. Carolyn, ever the little lady, would stalk off indoors, disdaining the sport. We lost touch, sadly, when our family moved away.
Deepest sympathy to the family. Carolyn Cox Chandler (Cookie)
