Carolyn and Loyd have always been permanent fixtures on "their pew" at our small, historic Summerfield United Methodist Church -- faithful members, doing several jobs at once. They could be counted on to be present and do their part in leadership. I loved Carolyn and especially will miss her delicious sauerkraut and sausage dish she frequently brought to Sunday's covered dish dinners. She was an excellent cook, seasoning everything to perfection -- and being one of the last crew to leave after the kitchen clean-up. Yes, her kind, beautiful smile and warm personality will be missed by all who knew her. My prayers and love to Loyd, the daughters and their families. Vera Garlough
George and I sat on the same row with Carolyn and Lloyd for many years at Summerfield United Methodist Church. Carolyn was our UMW President for many years. She always had program for our meetings. And Jana we loved for you to buy the gifts for the child that we adopted for Christmas. You could find so many bargains.We enjoyed going out to eat as a group after our meetings. Carolyn was so proud of her daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. She will be missed by all. We loved her very much.
