I worked at the police department with Carl during the 70s, we shared many hours at the old station and later the new one. Carl was a good man and will be much missed.

##imported-begin##Dan Keeton##imported-end##I, too, was in Mrs. Buce's fifth grade class along with Buddy Owles. I thought the world of Mrs. Buce as she inspired me to become a teacher like her. It was wonderful when Mr. Buce would come by the class for a visit. Now Barbara and Carl can be together again. A wonderful couple.
##imported-begin##Sherry Edwards##imported-end##I met Mr. Carl & Mrs. Barbara when I was in Mrs. Buce's fifth grade class at G.K. Foster Elementary. I remember how it was always a treat when Carl would come by to visit and how tall and handsome he looked in his uniform. My family & I got to enjoy visits with them at the lake for skiing & boating. Later on in life, my mom went to work for the city of Longview as a Municipal Court clerk and I became a Texas state trooper for 31 years. I always accepted Mrs. Buce's invitations to visit her classes. I know that Heaven is now a little brighter for Ms. Barbara after her reunion with Mr. Carl. God bless all of you and I will always treasure my memories of these two dear sweethearts.

My sincere sympathy goes out to those left to cherish his memory.
