I only learned of bro. Shirey's death today 4/21/2010. My wife, Jody, and I extend our much belated sympathy to all the family. Bro. Shirey meant more to me than I have the appropriate words to express. At a critical time in my life he grounded me in the fundamentals of the Gospel and helped me as a Gospel preacher in more ways than he or sister Shirey ever knew. The C. F. Shirey family hold many near and dear memories to me. To sister Shirey, Judy, Horace and Anita I cherish the memories of those wonderful days of almost 50 years ago in Magnolia, AR, when we had so many good times together.
