Buddy Paul Powell's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Buddy Powell, born on July 6, 2002, at the age of 23. He was born in Marshall, Texas and resided in Longview, Texas where he was a devoted employee to The City of Longview, Public Works.
Buddy was known for his goofy personality and the way he could make anyone around him
smile. He had a big heart and a generous spirit. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He worked hard, loved deeply, and was fiercely devoted to his family and the people he cared about. More than anything, Buddy cherished time with his loved ones. His family and friends were the center of his world, and he was always the one you could count on — whether it was for a laugh, a helping hand, or simply being there when it mattered most. His love and loyalty for his “Ol’ Lady” Julia, his family, and his friends was evident in everything he did.
Buddy is survived by his “Ol’ Lady”, Julia; his mother, Amber; his sisters, Deena (Troy) and Hannah (Brendan); his brothers, Joseph and Remington; family found through life: Andy, Hunter (Abby), Colton (Macie), Kayden (Jordan), MaryBeth and Paul; his nieces Elaina, Jessie, Loretta, and Eliza; his nephew, Walker and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will carry his memory and spirit with them always.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara White and Billy White; his Daddy-Matty, Matthew Williams, who welcomed him with open arms.
Though Buddy is no longer with us physically, his laughter, kindness, and the love he gave so freely will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of loyalty, humor and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
