I wasn't fortunate enough to have met Brooks, but I do know Tommie. You can often get a sense of someone by who they've left behind and I'm sure that Brooks' departure is a loss not only for his family, but for the world. My condolences and best wishes go out to his family and loved ones.

Brooks was a man of all seasons. I was fortunate to meet him through his son Tommie. From the first day I met him I felt as though I had know him longer than I had, because of how welcome Brooks made me feel. A true patriot that loved his country and his family. My prayers and love go out to Tommie and Candra.
