Well, I can vision Bro. Johnnie joining with Bro. Roloff! What a reunion that must be! At least we know he isn't suffering anymore. To The Davis Family : Bro. Johnnie was so special to us. He married us Sept.5, 1964. He was very loved by my mother, Mildred Coston, as well as all my family. He came and picked us up every Sunday morning and evening as well as Wednesday evening because my mother never drove. Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten to come to church. It's sad to lose him but it's like that song by the New Plainsmen Quartet "If You Could See Where I Am You Wouldn't Cry". He's singing in Heaven tonight. Our prayers are with you all. Our prayers are given for the family and friends. I worked with Bro. Johnny while I was at the Lighthouse back in the mid '70's.
When I came to Longview to go to Bible college I was able again to see and fellowship with Bro. Johnny.
Many a drunkard and dope head were able to find deliverance in Christ through the patient and compassionate soul of Bro. Johnny at the City of Refuge in Culloden, GA.
Truly the meeting of Bro. Johnny at the Gates with Jesus and Bro. Roloff was a site to see.
Bro. Johnny has truly earned the long awaited rest in the presence of his Lord and we who are left behind must now work a longer day to fill the place left vacant by this dear soldier of the cross.
May the Lord bless you in this time of grief. Thank God for the soon grand reunion with Jesus and those who have gone on before.
