Brenda Mann's Obituary
Brenda Faye Mann (Christian) of Longview, TX, was born on June 26, 1946, and passed away with family by her side on Saturday, October 12, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Waymon Christian, mother, Beulah Caldwell, and brother, Devon Christian.
Brenda was born near Dunlap, TN. Her family later moved to San Angelo, TX, where she attended and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1965. There, she met her high school sweetheart, Phillip, and became his June Bride in 1966. They soon moved to Longview, where together, they raised their daughters and cared for twenty-seven foster children over many years. Brenda cherished being a homemaker. She also enjoyed traveling, real estate, the outdoors, and gardening. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Brenda is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Phillip Drew Mann; daughters Kim (Kenny) Decker of Oklahoma City, Pam (Kenny) Kniffin of Euless, and Jill (Steven) Helmstetler of Lantana; brother Larry Christian of Gilmer; six granddaughters, six great-grandchildren, five nieces, and one nephew.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. A graveside ceremony will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
