Art and Mike-
I just found out about Brenda from reading the thank you note in the paper. I am so sorry for your loss. I am also so sorry that I was not able to attend the service. You all were the first friends that we met when we moved here and you have always held such a special place in our hearts. Her smile could light up any room in the world. I can't imagine the way she must be shining in heaven. I know how much she loved you both. My prayer for you is that the same love will see you through the difficult days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

We are so sorry for your loss. Your mother was such a funny lady with a wonderful smile. I worked with her for a short time at Norris Cylinder and really enjoyed her. Dear Mike,

You were truly blessed to have such a great mom. Her memory and her characteristics will continue to live in you.

And I, was blessed to have the opportunity to interact with her through correspondence and recently, to speak with her by telephone for the first time.

She did alot for me while I was incarcerated, and did not even know me. She may have thought she was helping me with stocks and finances, which she did, but I will never forget the carefully selected Christmas cards she sent. You knew she spent alot of time and thought in picking them when most people just buy a box of the same kind to send to everyone. They were so uplifting to me at a time when I was so low.

So, I know she was a very caring mom and a wonderful person. When I heard her voice on the telephone for the first time two weeks ago, I just knew, she was a very special and loving person.

I am truly sorry for your loss, but it is Heaven's gain.

Mike,
My heart aches for you during this difficult time. I only had the pleasure of meeting your mom a few times but she always had that beautiful smile on her face. I can remember seeing your tiny cowboy boots that your mom had saved for you and then given you while I was in your apartment years ago. I thought that was so neat...I could tell by looking at those little boots how precious you were to her and how much she treasured you, as she did those tiny boots. As a mom who has treasured my sons tiny bootsbecause of her ...I know she loved you like only a mom can... unconditionally. I can assure you that time eventually makes the pain lessen. You will remain in my prayers.
