My father, Bob Marks, and Bob Wallace were very close friends. They worked together at LeTournea for many years, and remained close until my father died a few years ago. My father roped Bob into helping remodel cabins up at Camp Gilmont, and served with him at Gilmont where he used his finanical knowledge and contacts to help the Camp in their fundraising methods. They fished, hunted and golfed together and shared in not only professing their faith, but living it where all could see it.
He was a great help to my mother, Marilea Marks, after my dad died and helped her with her investments. Bob and Shirley were always mentioned when mom would talk about friends and people that made sure she was doing ok.
I am looking at a copy of "My Utmost for his Highest" that Mr. Wallace gave me years ago that I keep on my desk at work. I have memories of him back in the 60's when he showed up at the house wearing white shoes and a white belt and my brother nicknamed him "Cat" Wallace. I never did hear what he thought of me turning his daughter ( armed with a learner's permit at the time) loose in my brand new 1979 Camaro when she visited Houston.
My greatest condolences to Shirley and Susan, and know that you are in our prayers.

I will miss my dad more than words can say. He lived a long full life, accomplished many things, loved The Lord, and his family. Thank you for the overwhelming support from family friends and many of my personal friends during this difficult time.
Love always Susie
My name is jean webster I just meet the family during the last days of Mr Bob life. I was one of Mr Bob care-taker I work the night shift . It was a pleasure taking care of him. Due to his illness his speech was limited so I just sing ,"Yes Jesus love Me" and I had a sense that he really understood . To Shirley and the rest of the family you have my condolences . May God continue to hold you up.
Will always remember the fun times at the lake on holidays and how Bob liked my homemade peach ice cream. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
