Bob Linthicum's Obituary
Bob Linthicum entered the Kingdom of God peacefully Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the age of 87. A resident of Longview, Texas, since 1979, Bob was born in Alvardo, Texas, where he attended grade school. He graduated from Waco High School and then from Baylor where he earned a business degree.
Bob was a faithful father and husband, married to Barbara for 66 years. Together they had three sons: Keith, Kevin and Kyle.
Bob and Barbara taught country western dancing for a very long time at Kilgore College and other places. They also participated innumerous craft shows throughout Texas.

After retiring from Sears after 35 years, Bob took up woodcarving – mostly santas, nativities, snowmen, and angels. His carved creations are on display in 35 states and 25 foreign countries.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruby Linthicum, along with his grandchildren Kelsey Linthicum and Stewart Linthicum. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at First Lutheran Church (on Hawkins Parkway) on May 25th at 10:30 am.
