I’m heartsick that I’m just seeing this and it’s so long after losing Bob that I realize the family may not see this but I feel compelled to write it anyway. My “Cuz” (Theresa) and I always looked forward to seeing Bob & Barbara at the craft shows, particularly the Pasadena Convention shows and the Country Peddler Show in Rosenburg. Over the course of 15 years or so, they became like family to us. We’d look for them to give them a hug and say hi before we shopped the show but the bulk of our time each year was spent visiting with them between customers. When Barbara had the stroke and they missed a year, we were so worried! When we finally saw them again, we exchanged numbers so we’d be able to reach them if they were MIA again. My Cuz & I were really sad when they decided to stop traveling to the craft shows but we completely understood. We planned to come to Longview & have a good visit when I retired but I got lung cancer and my Cuz developed dementia. My health is better now and with all our Santas and Snowmen coming out for the holiday, my thoughts turned to Bob & Barbara so I went to his Facebook page to see if he’d posted lately and try to find out how they were doing. That’s when I saw his obituary had been posted. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Bob was such a wonderful person I know his loss has been felt deeply. Barbara, if this gets to you, please know that you are not forgotten. We love you so much & always will. You’re in our prayers.
