Billy "Bill" Dean Tweedle's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Billy Dean Tweedle, affectionately known as Bill, who left us on June 20, 2025, at the age of 86. Bill was born on October 13, 1938, in Hopper, Arkansas, to parents Basil and Ilene Tweedle. He lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and the fondness of friends and family.
A dedicated employee of Delta Airlines from 1957 until his retirement in 1994, Bill’s commitment to his profession was matched only by his passion for the simple pleasures of life. He was a devoted sports enthusiast who found joy in playing golf and cheering on his favorite football teams during the weekend. His love for western movies showcased his appreciation for storytelling and classic cinema, a passion that endeared him to many.
Bill is preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Julia Tweedle, and sisters Brenda Baker, Judy Wehe, and Carolyn Marks. He is survived by his children, Mary Garza and her husband David Garza, Tiffany Tweedle and partner Mark Jeffs, and grandchild, Hunter Hickman, sisters, Avadelle Cogburn and Dorothy Mitchell, as well as numerous other family and friends. Bill will be remembered for his warm spirit and generosity of heart. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
