Billy Ray Counts' Obituary
Funeral services for Billy Ray Counts, 56, of Longview, will be 10 AM Friday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Norman Miller and Bro. Tim Gibbs officiating. Interment will be in the Arbala Cemetery, Yantis, Texas at 1 PM Friday. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, June 23, at Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
Mr. Counts died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital.
He was born September 24, 1948, in Tennessee and was a member of the Baptist church. He was a fabrication welder for Zimmerman Signs.
Mr. Counts was preceded in death by his father: Lloyd; brothers: Buddy, Ronnie, Michael and Charles. Billy is survived by his loving wife Erlene; daughters: Kerri Goodson of Laird Hill and Tonya Craig and husband Frank of Lone Star, Sons: Billy Counts and wife Birget of Kansas, Michael Counts and Todd Counts of Painte Rock, Ala., Mother: Mary Counts of Monteagle, TN, Sisters: Faye Sampley and husband Jim and Carolyn and husband Bill Parker of Monteagle, TN, Gwen Anderson and husband Russell of Cogswell, ND, Tammy and husband Lonnie Elling of Ohio, Brothers: Jerry Counts and wife Jan of Taylor, Michigan, Walter Counts and wife Lennie of Steiger, Ill, David Counts and wife Joyce of Illinois, Dennis Counts and wife Deb of Mobile, Ala, Grandchildren: Amanda Brown, Shyne Bright, Patricia Ann Counts, Kortne Craig, Sarah Craig, Stephenie Craig, Mother and Father in Law: Roy and Sammy Petross of Yantis, Special nephew: Matthew Counts and wife Niki of White Oak, and a number of other relatives and street rod friends.
