Bill and I go a long way back as we attended Little Flock Church in our childhoods. I have so many memories of Bill and James Carroll and they were all happy memories. The last time I saw Bill and Shirley was a high school reunion some years ago. My heart is sadden in the lost of a great guy.
Love to the family and especially Shirley.##imported-begin##Betty Summers Welles##imported-end##
Sissy, I will never forget that he was my first softball coach and gave me the nickname "DD". He was the sweetest man and never met a stranger! I was so shocked when my Mom told me she saw his obituary in the newspaper! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family! Love, Dana "DD"##imported-begin##Dana Dolgener Griffin##imported-end##
Shirley, I was so very sorry that I did not hear about Bill until Wednesday. At times like these, we need all our friends around us. I am available to talk or just to listen if you need me. Take care of yourself and remember that there are a lot of us who know what you are going through.
God bless and keep you close to him.

It has been many many years ago that I shared a baseball field with Bill, but the memories are very vivid. We always had the best team, he was the best at coaching and a very dear friend. He was such an asset to the community and he will be deeply missed. My prayers are with Shirley, Sissy and Bubba. I still love you all.
May God bless and keep each of you during this time of grief.##imported-begin##Suzanne League Gregston##imported-end##
We are so sorry for your loss. Bill was one of the kindest, hardest working men we have ever known and he will be sorely missed. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.
Much love,

To Shirley and Sissy and all of the Family, Since coming to WOUMC we have felt so welcomed by all of your family. Bill always made us laugh and we will sure miss him! Back around Christmas time when we were decorating at the church, he sneaked up behind me and poked me in the ribs and made some funny noise and scared me! He just laughed and laughed and thought that was so funny. I told him I was going to get him back, that when he least expected it I would get him! I never got to give him paybacks.... so when I see him in Heaven, I will be sure to remind him I have not forgotten that I owe him one! He will be missed.... Praying for all of you...##imported-begin##Byron and Debbie Henson##imported-end##
