Billie Lake, 80, of Longview, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 22, at 3:00 PM at New Beginnings Baptist Church i Read Obituary

Billie had the best humor and kindness! She gave me my first job in church and what a blessing she has been to the children of New Beginnings. She loved them all! Rest in his arms!
I am so sorry to hear about Billie's death. I have not seen her in years but we were friends back in our early years. She and W.B. (as we called him) and Elton and I used to visit, go places together, and just have fun. We both lived in Longview and then they moved over to Pine Tree/Spring Hill way. I guess we started started our families and other involvements. I am remembering we went over to some of their families one Sunday and went horseback riding. That was a first for me. Somehow as we were putting the horses up, Elton's horse kicked him in the chest and put him in the hospital overnight. I kidded him because he was supposedly a horseback rider.
Those were the fun, good old days, as we old timers say now. Elton passed away in 2022. You had some wonderful parents. Mary Hagler
