Betty Jane Hays' Obituary
Memorial services for Betty Jane Hays, 80, of Longview will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Mrs. Hays passed away Monday morning March 1, 2010 at a local hospital with her family by her side.
She was born June 15, 1929 in Mangum Oklahoma to Everett D. White and Theola Ann Rogers. She was a retired, self-employed business owner who loved the Lord and was an accomplished cook, wonderfully gifted artist, seamstress, and was noted to have the greenest thumb for her work in the garden. She was a practical woman always there to treat her family's aches and pains with a home made remedy or to mend a broken treasure. She adored and loved her family, friends and caregiver at home.
Special thanks to Doctor Yu for his kindness to her family. Mrs. Hays was preceded in death by her father, Everett White; and her son, Don Lowe.
She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Hays; mother, Theola A.Craig; brother, Steve D. White; Daughter, Judy Watson; son, J. D. Lowe III; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a niece, and a nephew.
The family asks that memorial contributions be donated to American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, and/or the Women's Center of East Texas.
