Betty Carol was so beautiful inside and out. Her mother and her daddy, my mothers brother, I loved being around. I remember when I was 9 I would walk over to Aunt Meva's beauty shop and watch her style hair and listen to the gossip! She would give me a cold drink from the Coke-a-Cola machine while I waited for Betty Carol to come in from going places with Roger. Aunt Meva would allow me to go to the front room and visit with the two of them when they came home. Roger would tease me and listen to me talk....which I still do a lot of. Betty Carol would let me go in her bed room and try on shoes, she loved shoes. I even got to put on a formal she wore for a dance that she went to. I was in love with Roger and told Betty Carol, she leaned over and said, "Baby Anne can you keep a secret?" I told her yes and she whispered in my ear...."I am in love with him too!" I hugged her neck and promised I would never tell anyone! I did not know they were already engaged! Until later. No one can match the beauty and sweet soul she has always had.....I love you Betty Carol
