Bess Land Nelson's Obituary
Bess Land Nelson passed away on Oct. 29, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Nelson was a retired business woman and school teacher, having taught at
Hill High School in Henderson. Mrs. Nelson had also taught at Texas Baptist Institute in
Henderson. Mrs. Nelson was very active in her work at Calvary Baptist Church of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norris D. Nelson in 1980. Private
Funeral services were held on October 30, 2006 under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home in Henderson.
Mrs Nelson is survived by three children, David L. Nelson and wife, Janet of Marshall,
J. Paul Nelson and wife, Glenda K. of Henderson, and Nedda J. Sheppard and Husband
Robert K of Henderson, She is also survived by six grandchildren, David Scott Nelson and wife Michelle of Tyler, Justin Nelson and wife Misty Nelson of Marshall,
Jeffrey P. Nelson of Austin, Nickolas J. Nelson and wife Amanda of Overton.
David K. Sheppard and Heather of Waskom, and Jennifer E. Sheppard of Henderson.,
And five great grandchildren.
