Ben Brice Reynolds' Obituary
Ben Brice Reynolds, born September 24, 1984, in Longview, and built his life in the same East Texas community that shaped him. Ben was known for his strength, work ethic, and humor.
Ben dedicated 15 years of service to law enforcement, serving with both the Rusk County Sheriff's Office and the Gregg County Sheriff's Office. After his years in uniform, he transitioned into sales, where his natural ability to connect with people served him well until health challenges required him to step away from work.
Ben had a deep love for his church family at New Beginnings Baptist Church, where he found encouragement, strength, and lasting friendships that were an anchor in this season of his life.
Above all else, Ben was most proud of being a husband and father. The love of his life, his daughter Harper, was his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. He never missed an opportunity to attend her sporting events, cheering her on with unwavering support even as his health declined. He also cherished his wife, Jordan Reynolds, and embraced her daughters, Chloe and Cora Belle Clark, as part of his heart and home.
Ben will always be remembered for the little things that made him uniquely him — sending Instagram reels to friends at just the right moment, shopping trips and always wanting to look sharp, afternoons on the golf course, working around the house, and time spent hunting outdoors. Even after ALS gradually limited his activity, it never diminished his spirit, his wit, or his appreciation for the people who surrounded him. He was especially grateful for the friends and family who faithfully checked on him, showed up for him, and walked beside him as his journey with ALS progressed.
He is deeply loved by his parents, Wayne and Marjorie Reynolds; his brother, Matt Carpenter, and Matt’s wife, Casey; his sister-in-law Morgan Wilcox and her husband, Michael; his nieces and nephews; and the many extended family members and friends who have supported him throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jackie and Bobbie Jo Reynolds and maternal grandparents Russell and Helen Bush.
Ben’s life is a testament to devotion — to faith, to family, to friendship, and to community. He showed those around him what strength looks like, not just in service, but in perseverance, gratitude, and love.
A celebration of life will held at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Longview on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11 am. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 10 am.
