Peace and Comfort for the Reynolds Family in this time of sorrow. Ben was a great individual and I enjoyed working with him at the Sheriff’s Office.

He is a great person, got to know him at church. Then my wife had to call for a officer to our home to get some unexpected guests to leave, and Ben shows up. He was already gone by the time i could get there, but my wife to me he scolded her pretty good. Seen him later told him thanks. He was always a person that was happy, and a smile on his face at church or on patrol. Honored to have known him.

Ben and I became close friends as we worked for the Rusk County Sheriff’s office. I had worked 38 years supervising law enforcement officers, but very few could come close to the officer that Ben was. Ben was an outstanding, professional officer that was very loyal, conducting himself in a way that made you proud to have him standing by your side and I was proud to call him my friend and fellow officer.
I have known Wayne and Margie for approximately fifty years, and had visited with them in Gilmer, Texas and had asked them about Ben, and I told the both of them I would visit go visit Ben.
Due to my health issues, I was unable to visit Ben, but he will always have a place in my heart, and I will remember him as a friend.
