Beckie "Meme" Sue Wilson's Obituary
Beckie Sue Wilson, 72, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Lovingly known as “Meme,” Beckie had a special way of making everyone feel loved and cared for. She was rarely still, always finding something to do, someone to help, or a way to lend a hand. Serving others was simply part of who she was.
A woman of faith, she was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ and found comfort in reading her Bible throughout her life. She was also a breast cancer survivor, showing strength and resilience that inspired those around her.
Beckie spent many years working as a florist, and her love for flowers never faded. Whether tending her garden or making arrangements for family gatherings, she was always the one we turned to.
She will be remembered for her cooking, especially her chicken and dressing and chicken pot pie, meals that brought everyone together. And if you ever went out to eat with her, you knew her food would be ordered well done, no matter what.
More than anything, Beckie loved her family. She cherished time together, both in the everyday moments and the special ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Billie Roberts, and her sister, Andrea Roberts Crawford.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jace & Sheila Roberts of Longview, TX and George & Janie Roberts of Kilgore, TX; her son and daughter-in-law, Jody & Courtney Wilson of Texarkana, AR; her daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda & Jancey Stewart of Simms, TX, and Kelley & Aaron Middleberg of New Orleans, LA; seven grandchildren, Hannah (Jable), Trenton, Aiden, Waylon, Atlas, Harrison, and Shiloh; and one great-grandson, Quaid.
She is also survived by special extended family, Wayne and Shelia Wilson, their sons Dustin, Kody, and Trey, and their families, along with many other cherished relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church: https://shilohtxk.com/give/.
A service to honor her will be held on Thursday, April 23rd, at 3pm, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Texarkana. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24th, at 11am at LaGrone Chapel Cemetery in Longview.
