Dear sympathies from the Sheary Family to all the Mannings. We have fond memories of Mr Manning( my home room teacher who was always busting my chops for being late) a good friend to my parents in Florida and a funny fellow! Thanks for the great Roxbury friendship, and may you find comfort in knowing he brought a smile to many. RIP Mr. M đȘ
I had Mr. Manning as my teacher in 6th grade, as well as for home room. He was a great teacher, and from what I knew of him, a wonderful husband, father and friend. During the last few weeks of 6th grade, I wasnât able to attend a special day when the students performed - I had a horrific case of poison ivy. Mr. Manning checked in on me when with my Mom, and when I returned, he had me âperformâ - I sang âSmile... â. After I finished, he praised me over and over again. Kids donât forget such kindness, and he was kind and caring to everyone! He was the BEST and I will always remember him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family. Mr. Manning was a wonderful man and neighbor for the years you all lived on Richards Avenue in Succasunna. I told my mom (Diane Stalter) of your dad's passing and she wishes to also pass on her thoughts and prayers. I can remember neighborhood parties and picnics on Richards Avenue, with all of the men sampling the "keg" starting early in the morning. Your dad was a great teacher and he will be missed.

I remember the first I met your family. Bill and I drove to New Jersey from Texas. Your dad, in a nice/funny way, made fun of the way I talked. He tried so hard not to break out laughing when I ran into the sliding glass door. I thought it was open. Lol. Nearly broke my nose. I remember Ocean City where I almost got spanked for...... do yâall remember? Lol. I visited him in the nursing home and he remembered me. Made my heart smile. He was a good man and Iâm happy he is with your Mom again. The 2 of them raised some amazing kids. Love you all! Shelia
Fond memories of plaaying B-ball for him from 61-63. Great coach who kept us in line.
