Memorial services for Arnold Gene "Papa Dude" Floyd, 65, of Lake Cherokee, will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the Chalk Hill Assembly of God Church with Revs. Jimmy Ammes, Gary Brown, and Ted White officiating. Services are entrusted to Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Floyd passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his father L.C. Floyd.
He was born December 11, 1943 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He attended the Chalk Hill Assembly of God Church and was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as a train engineer.
Surviving is his wife Mary B. Floyd of Lake Cherokee; son, Troy Floyd and wife Cheryl of Minden, LA.; daughter, Kim Woodard and husband Jeff of Searcy, Ark., mother, Rosie Fay Floyd of Vivian, LA.; brother, Michael Floyd of Wisconsin; sisters, Billie Gilbert of Shreveport, Janice Davis and Tammy Collins, both of Vivian, LA.; grandchildren, Troy Jeth Floyd, Devon Floyd, Kael Floyd, Annaliese Floyd, Eleora Floyd, Gabriel Floyd, and soon to be grandchild Olivia Gene Floyd, and Jake and Sydni Woodard. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
