A celebration of life service for Armon Eugene McCleney, 73, of Hallsville will be held at 10 AM Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Hallsville First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday evening, July 3, 2007 at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road. Mr. McCleney was born on Feb. 7, 1934 in Hallsville to John S. and Willie Greer McCleney. He passed away on July 2, 2007 while surrounded in love in a Longview nursing facility. He was a member of the Hallsville First United Methodist Church and retired from Eastman Kodak with over 35 years of committed service. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Lottie Trice McCleney. Those left to cherish his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Shannon McCleney of Union Grove; grandchildren, Quay and Carlie McCleney; a large extended family whom he loved so dearly; a special friend, Barbara Carr; a wonderful church family at Hallsville First United Methodist Church as well as many dear friends.
The family requests memorials be made in honor of Mr. McCleney to: American Heart Association or Hallsville First Untied Methodist Church.
