Arlene was the secretary at Valley View when my children started school there in the mid 1980s. She got to know my girls and our family. Every year she would recommend a teacher for them and I appreciated that so much. When my girls were absent for a couple days, she would call and check on them. For me, she was the heart of Valley View and I will always be thankful for her love for my children.

We remember Arlene as a faithful teacher of her Sunday School class at Mobberly as long as she was able. Not only did she teach, but she faithfully visited members of her class. I know Mae Adkins (a member of the class) was no longer able to attend Sunday School and she faithfully visited Mae at her assisted living facility. We would like to express our sympathy to the family in honor of this loving, giving lady. Arlene will be missed by both family and friends, but we are assured she rests in the loving arms of Jesus, no longer in pain. Ed and Helen Wooldridge
Arlene was so kind and helpful to my mother during her illness and later. She is an inspiration of what a loving Christian can be. She always encouraged our family.
Mrs. Roberts was so kind to me as a young Christian at Mobberly Avenue Baptist Church. She has a special place in my heart.
She is a precious woman of God who will be greatly missed.
I remember Mrs. Roberts from a very young age at Mobberly Avenue Baptist Church. She was very loving and kind, and even went on youth choir trips with us. Fun times! She was loved by so many people and will be missed by all.
