Alice George Gaw's Obituary
Alice George Gaw, age 89, of Longview, passed away peacefully on January 30th 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Gaw was an avid homemaker with a love for children, cooking and hosting holidays. She was happiest with a house full of family, friends and laughter.
She was married to her beloved husband, Bruce Davis Gaw, for almost sixty years. For many years they lived in Dallas until returning to East Texas to be near her family and his favorite fishing spot at Caddo Lake.
Her children feel blessed and honored to call her ‘Mama.’ We will love her for all eternity and miss her every day we walk this earth.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers and six sisters who all shared and passed down pride in the Lebanese heritage. She is also preceded by her husband, Bruce Gaw.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her four children M. Bruce Gaw, Brenda Gaw Andrews, Charline Gaw Pritchard and her husband Mark, and Thomas Gaw and his wife Suzanne. She also leaves her grandchildren Lindsay Andrews Quinn and her husband Dennis, Kaitlin Andrews, Ashley Pritchard, Michael LoSasso, Nicholas LoSasso USMC, Allison Gaw and Elaine Gaw. Her precious great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Rebekah Quinn. Sisters-In-Law Peggy Watts and Lou Gaw. And finally her lifelong friend Jeanette Bolton.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to the staff of Good Shepherd Medical Center for their diligent care.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home at 11:00am on Wednesday February 3rd, 2016 followed by the funeral service at 12:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
