A. D. "Dwane" Beck
Memorial services for A. D. "Dwane" Beck, 57, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 2500 McCann Rd. Longview with the Reverend Scott Hookey officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 in a Longview hospital.
Dwane was born August 1, 1954 in Post, TX to Oscar Zachariah and Ollie Mae Beck and had been a resident of Longview for the past 33 years. He was a 1972 graduate of Lubbock High School and was employed with U. S. Steel. He worked in mechanical maintenance as a millwright, where he was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, Local 04134 and was a Union Steward.
Preceding Dwane in death were his parents; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 39 years, Teresa Beck of Longview; his sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Sonia Beck of Longview and Brian and Jessica Beck of Ore City; grandchildren, Cortnie Ann Beck, Sara Sallee and Kristen Ann Beck; sisters, Maxine Butler, Dorothy Bishop and husband Henry, Billie Figgins, Cora Gann, Janice Sabin and Xan Jones and husband Aubrey; brothers, James Beck and wife Barbara, Thomas Beck and wife Gloria and Ollie Beck and wife Jeanie; and NUMEROUS nieces, nephews and a host of friends and other relatives.
Dwane enjoyed fishing and working crossword puzzles. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He attended St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
