In the few years that I've known mr. Beck, I can truly say that he was a jolly good fellow. Not

I consider A.D. a brother as we shared many hours at Local 4134 over the years. We have shared good times as well as bad. Through it all A.D. and I have and will remain good friends. I will miss my friend. I consider it an honor to have known him. When we lost our son in 2007, he was one of the first people at our door and we will not forget that. Not everyone has the insight to understand and act on the fact that if you're in the same boat together, you all need to row together for a common cause. A.D. got that. He also saw that for all of our economic, cultural and ethnic diversity, we generally have more in common than we do different.
He was solutions orientated. Rather than looking to place blame, he thrived on sharing his problem solving capabilities with the group even when a given problem was not his directly his responsibility to handle.
His fortitude and leadership abilities compelled him to involve himself in the effort to seek and maintain workplace dignity and fair compensation for himself and his fellow workers.
