Zachary Wayne Zimmerman's Obituary
Zachary Wayne Zimmerman was born November 4 2003 in Longview Texas to Phillip and Missy
Zimmerman. He passed away from this world and went to be with his Savior on October 19,
2024. Zachary is preceded in death by his grandparents Jimmy and Barbara Hodges (pawpaw
and mawmaw). Zachary is survived by his parents Phillip and Missy, His sister Britny and
brother in law Randell Arp, and his nephew Braxton Wayne Arp. He is also survived by his
grandparents Jim and Cathy Zimmerman, as well as aunts and uncles, Annette (Mar) Knox,
James (Teresa) Hodges, Mike (Jackie) Zimmerman, He also has many great aunts and uncles,
and cousins left to cherish him. There are many friends left to cherish him as well.
Zachaey was born in Longview but moved to Tatum when he was 2. He attended Tatum ISD
until his junior year and then was home schooled. Zachary loved sports and began playing
football at 5, He played flag football til he was able to move into tackle, where his dad was
coaching. He also loved going to watch and be with his dad while he coached, He also began to
play baseball which became his favorite sport, He also played basketball, He was also a
member of boy scouts in Tatum for many years. He also did karate. In high school he was in
FFA and loved to make things. He became a member of the Taum High School baseball team
his freshman year and absolutely loved it. He became a member of the tunnel crew on Friday
nights where he ran the flags for many years, He was a member if Trinity Baptist Church where
he gave his life to Christ when he was a youth. His favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11
Zachary loved his parents and his sister and his nephew was his pride and joy. He loved his
grandparents as well.
We will miss Zachary very much but know he is with his Lord and we will see his again one day.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday November 2, 2024 at 10 am at Trinity Baptist Church,
5041 Estes Pkwy, Longview, Tx 75603. Followed by a visitation at the church.
