Worth McKinley Harrison
Worth McKinley Harrison was born June 21, 1978 in Dallas, Texas. He died July 5, 2008 in Austin, Texas.
Worth was a member of First United Methodist Church of Longview, Texas and attended Texas Christian University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He cherished the many friends and fraternity members he came to know at TCU. He treasured family and always looked forward to the family Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions, loving to remember from whence they began. He loved his oversized football uniform from is "Coach D" days, his first car, "Myrtle the Turtle" the one that had the "buy stamps here" sign and his second car, Lolla the Corolla, the one with three hub cabs until just recently. Most of all, Worth loved his friends, all of whom showed an incredible bond and loyalty to each other. A smile and a joke were his signature, a never ending loyalty to friend and family alike, his hallmark.
He is survived by his parents, Guy and Lucy Harrison of Longview; his loving brother with whom he shared a bond beyond all others, Parker Harrison and his wife, Sunshine and one niece, Rainy and nephew, Tate, of Kerrville, Texas.
Memorial services will be 2 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lindwall and Rev. Dr. Michael C. Macey officiating under direction of Rader Funeral Home. Private family burial services will be at Memory Park Cemetery.
The family requests those that desire to do so may make memorial contributions to the Steve W. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship Fund, Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Theta Chapter at TCU, P. O. Box 11993, Ft. Worth, TX 76110.
