Winfred Young "Bill" Fisher's Obituary
Funeral services for Winfred Young "Bill" Fisher, 83, of Longview will be 10:30 AM Monday, August 19, 2002 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dan Miller officiating. Interment will be in Fisher Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
A descendant of a pioneer East Texas family Mr. Fisher was born May 2, 1919 in Longview to William Aaron and Lester Hattie Mackey Fisher.
He was a member of the Men?s Bible Class at First United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer at Alpine Golf Course.
Mr. Fisher served his country during World War II in the United States Air Force and owned and operated Fisher Hardware for over 50 years.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon, August 18, 2002 from 5:30 until 7:00 PM.
Mr. Fisher is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Jim Miller of Longview; son, W. H. "Bill" Fisher, Jr. of Longview; grandchildren, William P. Fisher of Austin, Jeff Miller and Brett Miller, both of Ft. Worth and Kathryn Miller of Longview.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Business Men's Bible Class at First United Methodist Church.
