Wilton P. Perry's Obituary
Wilton Pool Perry passed away July 4, 2014 in Henderson after a year of illness at the age of 74, born July 30 1939 to the late J.B. and Isabel Perry and the Church Hill community, and graduated from Henderson High school. Wilton married Tommie Jack Hughes in 1964 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 15th. They had three children Nichole, David, and SyRena. Wilton served his country in the National Guard when it was called up to active duty during the Cuban missile crises in the 1960s. He worked as a lake warden at Lake Cherokee for six years before relocating back to Church Hill Community. He retired from Texas Utilities after 20 years. He enjoyed his retirement as an avid deer hunter, river fisherman, and wild hog trapper. Most of all he loved being with his wife, children, grandchildren, and family. He loved his church and always enjoyed helping his friends and family in the Church Hill Community.
In addition to his parents Wilton, was preceded in death by his brother Ed Perry, and infant grandchild Katie Grace Perry.
He is survived by his wife, daughter Nichole Louise and husband Mike Bullock of Scottsdale, Arizona, Son David Wayne and wife Suellen Perry Spring, Texas, and daughter SyRena Kaye and Husband Tony Witt of Kilgore, one sister and brother in law, Rena Kate and Orea Smith of Church Hill , and two brothers and sisters in law John Ben and Geniece Perry of Henderson. Wayne and Mitty Ann Perry of Elderville, and sister in law Barbara Perry of Church Hill. Grandchildren; Zachary Perry, Logan Leslie, and Jake Edward Bullock of Scottsville, Arizona. Atlanta Marie, Autumn Louise, Austin Wayne, Wilton Jack, and Joshua Pool Perry of Spring, Texas. Augustus Jack, Samuel Perry, Isabell Star, and Frances Maurine Witt and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Wilton will be Thursday July 10 at First United Methodist Church in Henderson at 10 am, with the Revs. David Luckert and Betty Edwards officiating. Visitation will be at Church Hill United Methodist from 5 to 7 on Wednesday July 9.
Pallbearers will be Stan Smith, Michael Perry, Mark Perry, Hunter Perry, Zachery Bullock, Laborn (Bur) Conway.
