"Bus" Wilson Kent Seivley's Obituary
Wilson Kent Seivley went home to be with his Savior on February the 10th of 2025. He left this earthly domain about 7:00 a.m. in his sleep. What a blessing it must have been to go to sleep in this world and upon waking up to be face to face with Jesus. Wilson was born on February 18th 1927 in Madison Kansas. Wilson passed away after a lengthy illness at Eastman Senior Living in Longview Texas.
Wilson was preceded in death by his parents John and Alice Seivley of Kansas along with brother Leland and wife, Lucille, Seivley and brother Robert “Bob” Seivley and sister Roma June Seivley. His wife of 61 years, Genevieve, was also there to greet him into his eternal home.
After serving in the U.S. Army towards the end of World War II he went to work at 4th Natl. Bank of Wichita, Ks. where he met his future bride to be Genevieve Fresh. Then worked for Mcormick Armstrong Printing Company as Chief Estimator and later at Butler Paper Company as a buyer from there he retired.
While in Kansas he worked tirelessly on the board of Rose Hill Bible Church and helped to build a new sanctuary there. Wilson was always ready to help his neighbors and church family with their needs. Usually involving one or two of his sons to help him with those endeavors through which his sons learned construction and mechanical skills.
Wilson is survived by brother and sister in-law, Eldon and Kathy Seivley. sons and wives Rod and Gwen Seivley, Tim and Marilyn Seivley, Eric and Wanda Seivley, grandchildren and spouses Pete and Angela Sanders, Joshua and Rachel Seivley, Justin and Beverly Seivley, BJ and Jordan Voegeli and grandson Jacob Seivley, 3 step grandchildren and their spouses, 22 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the loving care that was extended by Hospice Plus and Eastman Senior Living.
The visitation will be held 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. February 28th in the chapel at Raders Funeral Home, Longview with a memorial service to follow. An online memorial book may be signed at www.raderfh.com The Graveside interment in Rose Hill Kansas to be announced at a later date.
