Wilson F. Henderson's Obituary
Wilson F. Henderson Funeral services for Wilson F. Henderson, 91, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003 at the Alpine Presbyterian Church with Dr. W. D. ?Bill? O?Neal and the Dr. Richard Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17 in Longview at his home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 19, at the funeral home. Mr. Henderson was born October 29, 1912 to Dewitt and Essie Henderson. He was a life long resident of Gregg County, and was very active in the community for numerous years. He was a U. S. Army veteran, having served with the Army Signal Corp. He was the recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Medal and the Occupation Medal Japan. Mr. Henderson was the owner/operator of Henderson Electric Co. and was a lifetime member of the Alpine Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder Emeritus. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Henderson, his parents, and his brother, Buford Henderson. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dorothy Thomas Henderson of Longview; daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Hollis Trussell of Gilmer, Shirley and Jack Stauss of Longview, and Sue and Raymond Brown of Madill, OK.; grandchildren, Britt Trussell and wife Lisa of Gilmer, Hollie Canter and husband Keith of Gilmer, Tracey Stauss and wife Kathy of Longview, Lance Brown of Madill, OK., Thomas Stauss and wife Monica of Gilmer, and Clint Brown and wife Alyssa of Oklahoma City, OK.; great grandchildren, Bethann Hyde, Aaron Hyde, Kassidy Windham, Ah-Leah Ann Wages, Whitney Stauss, Bodhi Stauss, and Britney Stauss; sister, Maurine Mankin of Bogota, TX; Memorial contributions may be made to the Alpine Cemetery Association, 135 Hyatt Ln., Longview, TX. 75605.
