Wilma Merritt Trimble's Obituary
Services for Wilma Merritt Trimble, 100, of Dallas, formerly of Hallsville will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Hallsville First Baptist Church with Reverend David Massey and Brother John Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Trimble passed away Sunday morning at her home in Dallas.
Mrs. Trimble was born on February 10, 1907 in Indian Territory, in what would later become Durant, Oklahoma to James Albert and Mary Nixon Merritt. She and her husband, Albert Trimble, were long time residents of Hallsville where she was a school teacher. She was also a long time member of Hallsville First Baptist Church. She has lived with her family in Dallas for the last 15 years. Wilma had a life long love of flowers, teaching, and her companion pets Rex, Ivy and Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Albert Trimble; her parents; and 2 stepsons, Charles and Harold Trimble.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Pat Trimble and their son, Carson Trimble; her grandchildren by marriage, Debbie Hanks and Vicki Hogue; and daughter-in-law Ruby Trimble. She is also survived by Cecile Trimble and John Charles Trimble; and 5 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her devoted caregivers, Susan Brown, Bobbie Johnson, Overa Garrett and many other loving and compassionate people who gave such wonderful care over the years.
