Willis R. Nightengale's Obituary
Willis Nightengale, 73, born January 23, 1942 in Copeland, Kansas, made his entrance into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 13, 2016 after a brave and lengthy battle.
Mr. Nightengale was a man of many talents, from farming to fine furniture making. He was a people person, having never met a stranger and always having a smile. He was a family man and he would say he was truly blessed by the Lord to have by his side his loving wife Peggy, 3 daughters, 1 son, and 1 stepson.
He was proud of all his children and their families, and was always quick to tell you about them all, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He loved God and knew where his blessings came from. He was a faithful member of Olde Tyme Baptist Church and his job as usher was important to him.
Funeral Services will be at 2 pm, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview conducted by Brother Jim Crump. Interment will follow services at Judson Cemetery. Visitation will be the night before at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Friday, January 15, 2016.
Mr. Nightengale is survived by his wife Peggy, son Randy and wife Jeanie, daughter Charis and Wes Holdeman, daughter Joan and Charles Koehn, and daughter Candi and Mark Ratzloff, 3 brothers Kenneth, Devern, and Bob, 1 sister Letha, stepson Gary Eisenhuth and wife Jamie, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Olde Tyme Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Jerry Long, Gene McClung, Cranston Thacker, Charles Garbs, Michael Royce, and Gene Freeman, Jr.
