Willie Samuel Wilson, JR's Obituary
A memorial service for Willie Samuel Wilson, JR, 88, of Longview, formerly of Lamesa, TX, will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 12, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Wilson passed away Tuesday morning in a local nursing home. The family will receive friends following the service.
Willie was born on August 11, 1924 in Welch, TX to Willie and Pearl Wilson. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He loved fishing and gardening and enjoyed the outdoors. Mr. Wilson also loved feeding the squirrels and birds every morning. He was a loving husband to Tiny Elizabeth Wilson. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary next month on November 8th. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Hattie Elvie Wilson; his granddaughter, Patricia Ann Wilson; and his grandson, Brandon Lynn Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tiny Elizabeth Wilson; his sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Joe and Leta Wilson, and Robert Darrell and Janet Wilson; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
