Mrs. Willie ?Bill? Sullivan Humbles
Funeral services for Mrs. Willie ?Bill? Sullivan Humbles will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004 in Philadelphia Baptist Church, Deville, LA. with Dr. Lanny Johnson and Reverend Phillip Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery.
Mrs. Humbles, 87, of Longview died Friday, March 19, 2004 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Longview.
Mrs. Humbles was a longtime former member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, where she was active in the WMU and a Sunday School Teacher. She was currently a member of Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, Texas, where she organized a quilting circle to help benefit missions. Mrs. Humbles was also a volunteer ?Pink Lady? at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Humbles was a bookkeeper for the Baptist Book Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther M. Humbles; her parents, Willie and Elva Barron Sullivan; her brothers, Huey Sullivan, Bobby Sullivan and Roy Sullivan and her sisters, Edna Collins and Ray Skinner.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Humbles and Reverend Dale Perkins of Longview, Texas, Nyla and Alvin Perkins of Pineville and Jenelle and Reverend David Brown of Pineville; Myrtis Parker of Holloway; eleven grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Bruce Perkins, II, Konrad Perkins, Phillip St. John, Scott Hamilton, Jonathan Mallard, Dale Perkins, II, Stacy Perkins, John Cooper and Darin Wood.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 pm Saturday, and from 8 am until 2 pm at Hixson Brothers, in Pineville, and from 3 pm until service time at the church.
