William Franklin "Butch" Windsor's Obituary
Mr. Windsor was born 9/15/1956 in Longview, Texas to Lester McClellan “Duke” and Frankie Grindle Windsor and died 8/22/2018 in Tyler, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, 8/25/2018 at the Pine Tree Church of Christ.
Butch was a long time member of Pine Tree Church of Christ having served as a Deacon for several years. He loved golfing and camping with his wife and their many friends. He was involved in the Spring Hill community and especially the Spring Hill Youth Baseball Association while raising his children. He was a distributor of Little Debbie Snacks for several years. Butch had a love for his family and friends. He was best known for his boisterous laugh that could fill a room.
Mr. Windsor is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Slough Windsor of Longview and his children, Valerie Ann Windsor of Longview and Christopher Vance and Kelli Ann Windsor of Breckenridge, Texas and goddaughter, Jessica Lucas Boone and husband Chris of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Caleb Ray Windsor and Cason Vance Windsor of Breckenridge and Chloe Nichole Boone and Chandler Brian Boone of Mt. Pleasant; mother Frankie Grindle Windsor of Longview; sisters and brothers, Sandra Windsor Grissom and husband Robert of Ft. Worth, Jennifer Windsor Powell of Longview, Lester McClellan “Bubba” Windsor and wife Wanda of Longview, Wesley Scott Windsor of Longview, and Stacy Windsor Braggs and husband Steve of Longview, brother-in-law Clay Kiper Longview; father-in-law Vance Slough of Longview; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Scott Wayne Slough and wife Pam of Boerne, Roger Dale Slough of San Antonio, and Amy Slough Fleming and husband David of Longview; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Windsor is preceded in death by his father, Lester “Duke” Windsor, sister Donna Sue Windsor Kiper, mother-in-law Ann Slough, and brother-in-law Gordon Powell.
In lieu of flowers the family would welcome donations to the Pine Tree Church of Christ Caring and Sharing Center.
