William L. Painter's Obituary
Mass of Christian burial will be held for William Painter, 84 of Longview at 10:00 am Thursday March 19 at St Matthews Catholic Church in Longview. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview. Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation at Rader Funeral Home in Longview Wednesday March 18th 5pm – 7pm and at 7pm a rosary will be recited.
On Thursday, March 12th William went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He passed away at home. William was born May 31st, 1930 in Chicago, IL. William was retired from Continental Can Company and most recently from Spring Hill Bank, Longview. William was a member of St Matthews Catholic Church, ACTS men's group of St Matthews as well as the Knights of Columbus.
William was preceded in death by his parents William & Bernice Painter, wife of 57 years Marion Painter and a son Glenn Painter.
Those left to cherish his memory is his brother Richard Painter, daughters Barbara Plachta and husband Raymond and Lori White and husband Jody; sons Gary Painter and wife Jeanne and Bill Painter. Grandchildren Chris Plachta, Jaclyn Rhodes and husband Bill, Aaron Painter and Amber Painter and great grandchildren Colin Rhodes, Teagan Rhodes, Neva Plachta and Stella Plachta.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to either St Matthews Catholic Church, Longview, TX or the American Heart Association.
