Frances and I grew up in Ruston with Bill. His mother was youth director at the First Presbyterian Church in Ruston and Bill was part of our group. As teenagers and neighbors, we have good memories of Bill and his family. Jerry & Frances Stinson
Bill was one of a kind, a wonderful influence in my life and a part of so many special memories with all of the Kelly family, including weddings and baptisms, and shepherding us through those turbulent teen years! We will miss him, but are so thankful for the wonderful lifelong friendship.

Having served for a long time with Bill on the Gilmont Board, I saw why he was so effective in all the areas of ministry mentioned in his obituary. This servant of God will be missed by many individuals and organizations. My condolences to his family. May his faith and yours give you comfort at this difficult time.
Bill baptized our daughter Annie in 1992. We started going to First Pres because of him. He and Dot are the sweetest couple. I bought a needlepoint stocking at their estate sale that is now my grandson’s. Very special man with a great sense of humor.
I remember Bill first from Camp Alabama. He was college age and I was Jr. Hi. He and Dixie Baskin were co-counselors and, I think, shared a short summer camp romance which obviously wasn't too serious.
