William “Bill” Harold Malray
William “Bill” Harold Malray was born August 30, 1927. In Memphis, Tennessee to Henry Grogan Malray, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Coltharp Malray. He departed this life and into the arms of Jesus on March 2, 2017. Mr. Malray was employed by Lance Cookies and Kay’s Cookies as an independent distributor before opening his own bakery in Longview, Texas. Along with his wife Nellie Malray, they owned and operated Malray’s Bakery from 1968 to 2004. Mr. Malray was also an active member in his Christian Fellowship Faith for 58 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nellie Malray. To cherish his memory and life, Mr. Malray is survived by his children Evon Malray-Cain and husband Noel, Lavera Malray Potter and husband Richard, LaNell Malray, William Malray, step-children, Glenda Pickering, Mike Pickering, Ivan Pickering and wife Dana, two siblings Luby Malray and wife Juanita, Ruby Malray Burton, 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of close friends.
Visitation for Mr. Malray will be directed by Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., Longview, Texas on Sunday, March 5th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. The body will be interred at Memory Park Cemetery.
