William L. Cunyus' Obituary
Funeral services for William L. Cunyus, 92, of Longview, will be 11 AM Saturday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with Doctors Jim Lewis and Tim Bruster officiating. Interment will follow in Peatown Cemetery, Peatown Community. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cunyus went to be with his Lord Wednesday at a local hospital.
A native of Peatown, he was born October 28, 1915 and had lived in the Longview area all his life. He was a retired Civil Engineer with the Texas Department of Transportation and a member of the First Christian Church, Longview. He served his country during World War II in the US Army.
Mr. Cunyus was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Louie Cunyus.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vivian, son: Bill Cunyus and wife Rexanne of Irving, daughter: Cathy Sunkel and husband David of Weatherford, grandchildren: Kelly Cunyus of Grapevine and Courtney Gilson and husband Michael of Saginaw, TX.
