William Kevin Bill McIlwain's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. William Kevin Bill McIlwain, age 49 of Tatum, will be held at 10:30am Saturday September 12, 2009 at the Tatum High School Coliseum, with the Rev. Joe Winn, and Rev. Trey Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Tatum Cemetery under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. McIlwain died in a car accident August 22, 2009 near Tatum
He was born December 9, 1959 in Waynesboro, Ms. He was a self employed oil-gas consultant, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Tatum. Bill McIlwain was a devoted husband & father who enjoyed hunting, laughing, and playing golf. He was very involved with Tatum Athletics, and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Kameko "Jeanie" McIlwain.
Mr. McIlwain is survived by his wife Karen Courtney McIlwain of Tatum; sons Mitchel Kevin McIlwain, and William Devin McIlwain both of Tatum; daughters Erika Danielle McIlwain of Tatum, and Kristen McIlwain Ladner, of Knoxville, Tenn. He is also survived by his father Harry Gilbert McIlwain Jr. of Waynesboro, Ms, and a brother Harry Gilbert McIlwain III of Weatherford.
Pallbearers will be Mike Courtney, Jimmy Courtney, Brandon Courtney, Randy McIlwain, Stephen Ladner, and Shane Meyer. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Tatum High School senior football players.
Visitation will be from 5pm until 8pm Thursday September 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
