William Huber
William Huber , 61, of Longview was ushered into eternal life and into the presence of his Lord on November 24th after courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Queens, New York on March 5, 1947 to William C. and Julia Lang Huber. A former resident of Palm Desert, California, he had resided in Longview for 7 years. He served with the United States Air Force 1967 to 1977 during which time he taught cable splicing techniques to military personnel. After his military service he worked in the communications industry as a cable splicer. For the past several years he was employed at Sam's Club where he enjoyed the customers and the presence of his co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Julia Huber; a sister, Gloria Froelich and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Julia Dunne. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia of Longview; a son, William H. Huber of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Chanda Huber of Coachella, California; granddaughters, Brooklyn and Bailey Huber; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Don Oliver of Riverhead, NY; 2 nieces and 1 nephew and best friend of 37 years, John Shreve of Dunnigan, California.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to everyone at Beacon Hospice.
Services will be 10 am Monday, December 1st at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain David Badders officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be 9am to 10 am Monday.
